Rev. William (Doyle) Sharp feels he is first and foremost called to be a pastor. He plays golf for fun and exercise.  He is an avid reader who enjoys music and spending time with his wife and family.  He loves the Lord and finds fulfillment as an elder within the church.

He holds a BA degree which he received in 1998 from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, with a major in English and minor in Psychology.   He obtained a Master of Divinity from Southern Methodist University Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, TX in 2002.

Pastor Doyle considers Tulsa his hometown.  Prior to answering the call to ministry within the United Methodist Church, he worked for 10 years at American Airlines in Tulsa as a mechanic.  He was a machinist in the engine shop for most of that time and lived on a small farm in Chelsea where he raised an assortment of animals.  He attended Memorial United Methodist Church in Chelsea where he taught Sunday School and served as chair of many of the committees within the church.

As a mentor he enjoys assisting other clergy in the fulfillment of their calls into ministry. He is also chair of the District Committee on Ministries, and chair of the Wesley Foundation serving the Cameron University students in Lawton.
