Worship

Traditional Worship | Sundays 10:45 am

Our Traditional Worship is from the liturgical tradition. Liturgy literally means “work of the people” and it includes shared written prayers, responsive readings and affirmations of faith that come from the variety of Christian tradition as well as those newly written for our context today. We sing hymns in a vibrant manner that is powerfully led by our Pianist Ted Robinson. Our choir is among the finest in Stephens County and helps to set the tone of reverence for our worship together. Weekly sermons are scriptural based on the Revised Common Lectionary, and this theme or topic is reflected in the music and the liturgy as well. Rev. Doyle Sharp is an engaging, narrative style preacher.

Communion | at Christ’s Table

; Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month during the Traditional Worship.

As United Methodists, we believe Jesus died and defeated death evident by the resurrection for us all. You do not need to be Methodist, baptized or have any other qualification to receive Holy Communion. Christ’s table is always open…come as you are.
